New Haven: A new start

So those of you who read this blog regularly know about my cancelled move to San Jose and my decision to stay in New Haven. On top of that, I landed a new apartment (a few doors down from my old one, in the same building!), a new building, and a new job.

I should probably write a bit more, but that's all for now. Things are great!

Last weekend in New Haven

Lazy Sunday today, with nothing on my agenda except exercise and a crazy graduation party/pig roast tonight. Tony Blair is speaking at Yale, but I'm feeling too lazy to even do that! Spent all day packing yesterday, which was no fun whatsoever. Can't believe how much stuff I still have!

Last weekend was one of the best ever. Went up to Cambridge/Boston with two close friends to visit another close friend. We had such a great time, and I fell in love with the area. Highlights included a two-hour walk to Mount Auburn Cemetery, the most incredible pancakes at Deluxe Diner, a martini party with new friends, and a dinner of duck that I will remember for the rest of my life at Central Kitchen. Like I said, one of the best weekends ever.

Off to Cali on Wednesday for the SSS wedding extravaganza, back here on Tuesday, and then PERU a day later!

End of April

Counting down: Less than one month of work to go, and one month until Peru! In the meantime, I've been trying to live it up and make the most out of every moment...I think it's working so far.

Parents were here last week. We spent a few days in the city and had a great time. Here are some photos.

Over the top

This is why I don't think I'll ever have a wedding!

Spring is here...now???

Just got back from a great weekend in Greenville, South Carolina for a fantastic wedding. Thirty SOMers traveled from all over the country (most the NYC area though) and we had a blast. I enjoyed Greenville too--people were incredibly polite, there is this emphasis on family and community that I've never seen in any other place in this country, and the downtown is very well laid out. Here are some pictures.
